01 Acceptance of terms

Welcome to joshwroteit. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of this website (the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, you confirm that you have read these Terms and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Site.

02 Who I am

The Site is owned and operated by Joshua Miller, an independent writer and creative consultant doing business as joshwroteit, based in Franklin County, Ohio, United States. In these Terms, "I," "me," and "my" refer to Joshua Miller, and "you" refers to the person accessing the Site.

03 Use of the Site

I grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Site for lawful purposes, such as learning about my work and getting in touch. In exchange, you agree that you will not:

Unless noted otherwise, all content on the Site, including the writing, design, layout, graphics, and the joshwroteit name and wordmark, is my property or is used with permission, and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. The portfolio work shown may include projects produced for clients, and the rights to those finished pieces may belong to the respective brands; it is shown here to illustrate my contribution.

You may view and share links to the Site, but you may not copy, reproduce, republish, or repurpose its content for commercial use without my prior written consent. If you would like to quote or reference my writing, reach out and I will almost always say yes.

05 Your submissions

If you contact me through the Site or by email, you agree that your message will not contain anything unlawful, threatening, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise objectionable. Do not send me confidential information you do not want shared until we have agreed to work together and have the appropriate protections in place.

By sending me a project inquiry, you grant me permission to read and respond to it. I will not publish your message or use your confidential details without your consent.

The content on the Site, including articles in the journal, is provided for general informational and illustrative purposes. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Franklin County, Ohio, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

I may update or modify these Terms at any time. When I make a material change, I will post the updated Terms on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
